About This Episode
When we think about intimate relationships, most of us think first of intimacy between partners or friends. But there is a unique kind of intimacy that women rarely practice – self intimacy. Each of us must find time to sit and to simply “be” in our own skin. The point of healthy self intimacy is to provide a space to explore the pieces of yourself that you treasure or that you wish you could change.
In today’s episode, I speak with Tiffynee Terry-Thomas, a spiritual transformational life coach, relationship coach, and clinical sexologist. Tiffynee believes that if you’re not having wholesome relationships, there’s a possibility that you’re probably not having good sex. This episode is a result of a previous conversation that Tiffynee and I had. We decided that before talking about romantic intimacy, it is important that we tackle self intimacy first. So tune in to hear what our thoughts are!
In a nutshell, we speak about:
- What self intimacy is.
- The strength that comes with being vulnerable.
- The power in words and how to use that to your advantage.
- How to become vulnerable with ourselves especially if you find it hard to be vulnerable with others.
- Why allowing the fear of failure to supersede the feeling of growth is holding us back.
- Changing the narrative around failure and seeing mistakes as growth opportunities.
- How self intimacy differs from self-love.
- Listening to our inner voice.
… and so much more!
