About This Episode
How often do you second-guess yourself? Do you find yourself wondering how you are perceived, or how your intentions might be misunderstood by others? Have you had your friends refer to you as that “bougie” friend? In my quest for finding answers to some of these questions, I came across a definition from dictionary.com that said, “a characteristic of a person who indulges in some form of the luxuries and comforts of a fancy lifestyle.” Does this definition ring a bell? If it does, this episode is for you!
In today’s episode, I talk about being unapologetically opulent. After all, who wants to be broke and worried about how to pay bills? We all want the freedom and the ability to live the life we desire, and this episode encourages you to do exactly that! Even though this world has done its best at putting the black women in a box, it is never too late to get out. Being unapologetically opulent is giving yourself permission to be all the things that society says we aren’t as black women. Your intelligence, drive, ambition and independence isn’t intimidating. At least not to the right people. It is phenomenal!
Consider this episode a go-ahead to be your unapologetically opulent self!
