About This Episode

Despite how many times you’ve heard claims from people who “don’t see color”, race exists. And whether we like it or not, it’s ingrained into so many facets of our society. Even if you had the privilege of not realizing it before, you’re hopefully definitely realizing it now. And for some people – because of who they are or who they choose to love – race is the most significant aspect of their lives. Especially for people in interracial relationships. While you might think it’s easy enough to just say “you love you who love” and leave it at that, interracial relationships, like any relationships, take a lot of work and a whole lot of understanding.

In today’s episode, I speak with Daydree Horner, a Reiki Master Teacher, speaker, and the Good Love Coach. Daydree’s warm, enthusiastic and supportive approach helps clients disarm fear, connect to inner joy, and have the life and love they truly desire. In this episode, she talks about what inspired her to do the kind of work she does and even dispels some of the common myths surrounding interracial relationships.

In a nutshell, we talk about:

  • What causes black women to be so hell-bent on dating black men – culture
  • Is it any different dating someone from a different race?
  • How to approach conversations around racial differences if you are in an interracial relationship
  • Why specifics are important when looking for a life partner
  • Recommended place to meet eligible partners
  • How to prepare yourself to receive love, regardless of who comes bearing it
  • and so much more!
